About us
Lucky Stars Bakehouse is a dedicated gluten-free artisan bakery in Concord, Massachusetts. We’ve developed our own proprietary GF flour blends and a full line of yeasted breads, cookies, bars and other yummy baked goods. This is a fast-paced, fun-filled start-up — and this summer we proved that demand for our product is real. We’re growing in wholesale distribution, plan to launch online orders/shipping direct to consumers soon, and there’s a lot of room here for someone who wants to grow with us.

Full-time · Pay commensurate with experience - details upon request
The role
We’re looking for an exceptionally skilled baker who cares about getting it right — the same cookie, the same crumb, the same crackle on the crust, every single day. Attention to detail is key. You’ll run daily production, and as we grow, you’ll help build and lead the team that runs it with you.
Gluten-free baking is its own craft. Our doughs behave differently, our hydration is different, our timing is different. We have a very special product line up that we are excited to bring to market!
What you’ll do
Bake our full line — breads, cookies, bars — to established recipes and production standards
Manage and oversee daily bakery production, ensuring proper quantities, quality and consistency across all products
Maintain an organized, efficient daily production schedule
Maintain accurate production levels and adjust quantities based on sales
Monitor inventory, ordering and product waste
Manage product packaging and delivery (wholesale and direct to consumer) process
Maintain a clean, organized and food-safe bakery and production workspace
Follow all food-safety, sanitation and workplace procedures
Train and develop other bakers as the team grows
What we’re looking for
Professional baking experience
ServSafe Food Handler certification, or willingness to get certified within 30 days (we’ll cover it)
Strong bread production background; gluten-free experience is a plus, not a requirement
Culinary school a plus
Consistency: the ability to execute a recipe the same way every time
Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable with early mornings
Able to work independently and to pitch in like a teammate — small company, everybody sweeps
Able to lift 50 pounds and stay on your feet for a full shift

Full-time (part-time considered) · $18–22/hour
The role
This is the right-hand job to our Head Baker. You’ll be in the mix on everything: mixing and shaping, keeping ingredients stocked and inventory accurate, filling out production records, packing orders, and getting product out the door. It’s hands-on, it’s early mornings, and no two days look exactly the same.
You don’t need to be a trained baker to start. You do need to care about doing things carefully and the same way every time — measuring accurately, labeling correctly, writing it down. Gluten-free baking is unforgiving of shortcuts. Our doughs behave differently, our hydration is different, our timing is different, and we strive for perfection in every aspect of every loaf.
If you’re good at this job, it grows. The person who starts here can become a baker, and eventually help run production.
What you’ll do
Assist with daily production — scaling ingredients, mixing, shaping, panning, baking and cooling to our recipes and standards
Keep ingredient and packaging inventory accurate; flag what’s running low and place orders as directed
Receive and put away deliveries; check orders against invoices and report shortages or damage
Complete production and food-safety documentation accurately and on time — batch records, temperature logs, lot tracking, waste logs
Package and label finished product for wholesale and direct-to-consumer shipping
Pick, pack and stage shipping orders, including frozen and cold-chain shipments
Make local wholesale deliveries and confirm orders are complete and correct on arrival
Wash, clean and reset the bakery daily — dishes, surfaces, floors, equipment
Follow all food-safety, sanitation and workplace procedures
What we’re looking for
Some food production, commercial kitchen, bakery or café experience preferred — we’ll train the right person
ServSafe Food Handler certification, or willingness to get certified within 30 days (we’ll cover it)
Careful and detail-oriented — you follow the recipe, you write down the number, you double-check the label
Organized, dependable, and comfortable with early mornings
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and a reliable personal vehicle for local deliveries (mileage reimbursed)
Able to work independently and to pitch in like a teammate — small company, everybody sweeps
Able to lift 50 pounds and stay on your feet for a full shift
Basic comfort with a phone or computer for inventory, order and production tracking
Why this one is different
This is a ground-floor job at a business that’s still being built. You’ll learn gluten-free artisan baking from the inside — the blends, the doughs, the whole line — from someone who knows it well. As we grow, this role grows: more responsibility, more skill, more say in how the bakery runs. We’re not looking for someone to fill a slot on a line. We’re looking for someone who wants to help build a bakery worth the name.
We’re proud of what we make and who we make it for. If that sounds like your kind of kitchen, we’d love to hear from you.
